# Enterprise Data Platform

Microsoft Fabric medallion architecture, pre-built

A production-ready Fabric starting point — Bronze → Silver → Gold, metadata-driven pipelines, lineage tracking, Key Vault and managed identities, IaC and CI/CD already wired up. You skip the plumbing and start on your data.

## The first three months of a data platform are always the same

Every Fabric build starts with the same work: naming standards, medallion layers, a pipeline framework, secret handling, environments, deployment, tests. It is necessary, it is well understood, and it is not where your advantage comes from.

Teams that skip it ship faster for a quarter and then spend a year unpicking it — untagged resources, secrets in notebooks, transformations nobody can trace back to a source.

This accelerator is that groundwork, already done and already run in production. You brand it, point it at your sources, and spend the first three months on the data instead.

## How it works

1. ### Stand up the platform

Infrastructure as code deploys the Fabric workspace, storage, Key Vault, and identities into your subscription with standard tagging applied from the start.

2. ### Land your sources

Metadata-driven ingestion means adding a source is a configuration entry, not a new pipeline. Bronze keeps the raw record exactly as it arrived.

3. ### Model up the layers

Silver applies cleansing, typing, and business rules; Gold serves the semantic models and reports. Lineage is tracked across every hop.

4. ### Ship it repeatedly

CI/CD promotes changes through environments with automated tests on the transformations, so the second release is as boring as the first.

## What you get

### Medallion architecture, documented

Bronze, Silver, and Gold with business-friendly asset naming and a written rationale. A new engineer can find their way around in a day.

### Metadata-driven pipelines

New sources onboard through configuration rather than copy-pasted notebooks. The tenth source costs about what the first one did.

### Security wired in

Key Vault, managed identities, and least-privilege access from the first deployment. Not retrofitted after a security review.

### Tested and deployable

Unit tests on transformations and Delta optimisations applied. CI/CD promotes through environments without manual steps.

## Skip the plumbing on your Fabric build

Start with a data and analytics maturity assessment — if modernising will not pay off yet, we will tell you that before anyone deploys anything.
